An award-winning print and television journalist, Karen Galatz is the author of Muddling through Middle Age, a “Top 100 Humor Blog,” which offers women (and men) of a certain age a light-hearted look at the perils and pleasures of growing older.

She also pens the nationally recognized The Matzo Chronicles column for four publications — J. The Jewish News of Northern California, The Intermountain Jewish News, the San Diego Jewish World, and the Times of Israel. The column was recently honored with an award for writing from the National Federation of Press Women.

Karen’s television national news credits include The MacNeil/Lehrer NewsHour and the Nightly Business Report. She created, directed, and anchored Business in Nevada, which aired on PBS stations throughout Nevada. This news broadcast won an Edward R. Murrow Award and an Emmy nomination.
