Thirty-Seven Years Ago

It was the Opposite of a Terrible, Rotten, Horrible, No Good Day!

Thirty-seven years ago, Handsome Hubby and I said our “I do’s.”

To state the obvious, a lot has happened in the years since then. So much joy and a fair amount of sadness too.

Parents, siblings, and friends have died, but children have been born, and in Jon’s case, even a great-grandchild has graced the scene.

We’ve had — and still have — great jobs. We’ve lived in some great cities. Traveled to countless interesting ones, too.

We’re blessed with good health, although the list of miscellaneous aches and pains … and pill bottles to treat them … is growing longer!

All that said, there’s been one true constant: our love. It’s a rare gift to feel so much love, joy, and fun after so many years. I treasure it and I treasure HH.

To celebrate the day, I offer a “goldie oldie” blog written in 2017, recounting our odd couple unlikely pairing. If you haven’t read it before, I hope you get a chuckle. If you already have read it, bear with me. I’m in a sentimental mood. In any case, here’s Carson City Courtship.
